- If cavitation occurs, reduce speed
- The safety valve is factory-set; do not adjust it without instruction
- Know the product you want to pump—check compatibility in terms of material, seals, and heating
- Listen and feel: is the pump making unusual noise or getting hot?
- Maintain your pump properly:
- Replace the oil in the gearbox (see intervals in the manual)
- Ensure proper lubrication of the bearings (but not too much)
- Always read the pump manual carefully
